Ingredients

unsalted butter

all-purpose flour

any flavor broth or stock
can be substituted with water and ½ tsp salt or with meat drippings

soy sauce
salt & pepper

Instructions
In a small sauce pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the onions and cook until soft (about 5 minutes). To get a darker colored gravy, cook the onion until it's caramelized.
Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
Slowly stir in broth/stock and soy sauce until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency, about 3 minutes. Add salt & pepper to taste.
Serve & enjoy! (Note, the gravy will thicken as it rests. Stir before serving.)
