Use Foil!

Usually I’m pretty good at lining baking pans with foil for easier cleanup. However, with kids fighting in the background, plus rushing to get food out on the table because I didn’t prep earlier, things get a missed. Like putting foil on a baking tray.

Yes, it sucks cleaning a stuck on tray. Can’t just rinse and dry. But no worries, soaking with warm water and soap clears off most of the mess.

Even before this accident, my baking tray wasn’t sparkling clean. A little girl once came over and while baking chocolate chip cookies with my kids, exclaimed, “Eww, that’s a dirty tray!” I told her it wasn’t dirty but she said that her clean baking tray at home didn’t look like ours. So every time I look at this baking tray, I think if there’s a better way to clean it. I have yet to ask that little girl’s mom how she cleans her tray. How do you clean your trays to make them sparkly clean? Please comment and teach this dummy in the kitchen!
