Quick and Easy Edamame in 3 Ways

I haven’t posted many vegetable dishes so far but it is an essential part of our lunch and dinners! Edamame is one of those veggies that I can prepare at the last minute, with no peeling, chopping, or scrubbing!

My kids like eating edamame because it’s fun to eat! Especially if the shells are seasoned in any way, the kids love sucking on the shells before eating the beans. The simplest seasoning is just plain ole kosher salt, added after the edamame is done cooking. You can also take things up a notch with a quick stir fry of the edamame in sesame oil (1 tbsp) and soy sauce (1 tsp), sprinkled with a pinch of salt and pepper.

I’ve listed 3 ways to cook edamame: on the stovetop, in the microwave, or in an Instant Pot. All 3 ways are easy and fast. Whichever way you choose, you will have a nutritious vegetable with your meal! A half cup contains 6g of fiber, 10g of protein, and a whole lot more! Edamame is a complete protein and is a great addition to vegetarian meals!
