Ingredients
Method
- Wash the potatoes and peel them if you like. Cut them into fries that are not too thin, about 1 inch thick.
- Soak the cut fries in water for 5 minutes. This removes the extra starch.
- Dry the cut potatoes as well as you can with paper towels or a clean dishcloth.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400F.
- Put the fries in a mixing bowl and toss with 1 tbsp oil and 1 tsp garlic salt.
- Brush 1 tbsp oil on the air fryer basket.
- Spread the fries on the basket in a single layer, working in batches so they overlap as little as possible.
- Air fry for 20 minutes, turning the fries or stirring them around halfway through.
- Take them out, add more salt if needed, and enjoy!
Notes
Times are for one batch. Each extra batch adds about 20 minutes of air frying.
